Subject: Simply the best
This is the best recording of KDTU I have heard and I have searched for an equally great sounding recording but I haven't found anything this high quality.
I listen to part or all of the album at least once a week.

Subject: Awesome recording & killer show!!
I've had a lot of experience trying to record this venue, and I must say that this is by far the best recording to come out of this place. Without some serious taping experience, the Paradise is a difficult place to pull a great tape out of...and this guy did it. Why are there not more recent recordings of other bands recorded here with this type of depth/soundstage?
It can be done; just listen to this source. The killer equipment helps of course, but this guy did something different to crank this recording out. I wish all Paradise recordings came out this good.

Subject: a killer show
show was hot from beginning to end, and the tapes really show for it.

Subject: Funky Universe
The funky sounds of this show have opened my mind more to the funky jazz universe. I wanted to check these guys out b/c they're going to be at Bonnaroo and I want to know if I should check them out while I'm there. After hearing these guys I'm definitely checkin out their set. I'll be movin and groovin the whole show.

"this is our first night with these new 'in-ear' monitors, so if we walk around and look kinda confused..."

nice night, nice crowd, nice fat recording with good levels, I don't upload much, but this one is really good and worth sharing...

lossless shn format of course...

four stars (I'm saving that fifth star for something really really special or it would be 5 stars...

Notes

disk 1 Track 4,5,6, and disk 2 tracks 1-4 with Melvin Sparks

Notes from Eric:
Mics at lip of balcony, just left of sbd, on pole beamed out towards stage.
Big thanks to George Kurtyka for taking in my p1 and patching, and thanks to Christian for dealing with all that, much appreciation to both of you!
