The Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power In Space (GN, space4peace.org, founded in 1992) has been sponsoring the annual international Keep Space for Peace week co-sponsored by women’s International League for Peace & Freedom. 2007 marks the 40th anniversary of the Outer Space Treaty by the UN in 1967.

Focused against the Strategic Space and Defense conference held its 2nd year row in Omaha(Oct. 9 to11, 2007) and co-sponsored by the Offutt AFB and Strategic Command located in Bellevue, Nebraska, Nebraskans for Peace(NFP, nebraskansforpeace.org), conjunct its Annual Peace Conference on Oct. 6(co-sponsored by the University of Nebraska-Omaha School of Social Work) had the invitation speeches and protests during the International Week of Protest to Stop the Militarization of Space, Oct. 4 to 13, 2007.
