Developing a new musical language of sweeps and noises, Abduct delivers in Spectrum an organic mix of rhythm and ambience. Echoes of the old industrial tradition combine with lessons from so-called-intelligent-dance-music to produce an enthralling soundtrack to the waning first decade of the new century. Industrial percussion takes center stage in "Recreo", becomes polirythmic in "It be" and is superceded by digital pads and ambient noises in "Falu". Finally, "Descuidos" reminds us of early pioneers of electronic experimentation, while "Blubb" seems to have beamed in from rubber space.
