StudStud - Phicusology [kpu021] ()

Stud is back from the frigid corners of Siberia, this time with a long-tracker EP of new material exclusive to Kikapu. He comes from the school of keeping tracks short and to the point, as none of the tracks present herein eclipse the three minute mark. But unlike other artists who write short tracks making you the listener feel cheated, Stud's tracks are so complex and honest that each piece feels like it has run its length and is fully complete. When listening one can definitely feel the environment in which Stud calls home; his music is dark yet genuinely beautiful with its fractured beats and unusual melodies.

Stud also wanted to include a special treat for this release, so he gathered some of his closest friends to remix the first track of this EP, "Damn Arm." Below lies fifteen(!) reinterpretations of this track by Kikapu associates, old and new.
