Woodcut t.p. Engraved emblem of the art of writing, p. 16. The 62 woodcut and 9 engraved plates depict 5 main alphabets. Letters of the last alphabet occupy a full page, with the last 2 (I and J) on folded double leaves (59 and 62.5 cm. in height). Leaf E3+1 printed white on black. Some woodcuts signed PF, for Paul Franck; the last is dated 1597
