Subject: WOW!!!!!!!!!
Subject: WOW!!!!!!!!!
One of the greatest kimock shows of his incredible career! I was one of a few who were lucky enough to be there, and what a gem it was. I had seen him on numerous occasions but on this night he totally blew my wig back!!! The whole jam out of "point" peeled my mind apart! After seeing him in California so much, it was nice to see him in my home state. I don't think many of us were ready for that. Every song was so hot, "from the bass up", "footprints", "boo boo",and especially "egads". For those of you who get this show, that crazed lunatic screaming at the top of his lungs at the beginning of "egads", is me! Sorry everyone! I had been waiting a while to hear that one... Every time I listen to it I feel kinda bad, but that just proves the emotional power of this show! One of the top 3 kimock shows ever. Totally off the charts... They even destroyed "sea blues", one of his more mellow numbers. Such a tasty rendition. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and always will.....Thanks Steve for such a magical night!

Subject: This is from Dan Heend's rig
Subject: This is from Dan Heend's rig
This show is from my rig. The full lineage is as follows:
Schoeps CMC64V ORTF DFC 4-6' back, hung 1' from ceiling -> Grace Lunatec V2 -> Apogee AD1000 (/w UV22 and limiter on) -> any one of up to 10 DAT decks in a long chain (for sure, not one of the 1st decks though). While I mastered this show myself for CD, this mastering/tracking is not mine. Thanks to Mike Derr for uploading this show to the archive... I always thought this one was there already, or I would have uploaded my mastering sooner. I think it is one of my best recordings, in spite of the slamming levels for the first song of the first set (the limiter really saved this one). Hope you do too. Due to the location of the mics and the layout of the venue (which BTW is not in Budd Lake, but Stanhope, NJ), I would consider this an onstage recording, and to the best of my knowledge, there is no other complete recording out there. Believe it or not, there were 2 chains of 10 decks patched out of my Apogee AD1000, and I believe everyone did get a complete recording.... crazy...
