Subject: Terrific film but
I think George Romereo owes the author a check! NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD takes a lot from this story!

Subject: Best of the adaptions of Matheson's story
This is by far (IMHO) the best of the four (yes....four) adaptions of the story. This was the first, followed by Omega Man, then last year there were TWO adaptions....one titled "I Am Omega", and the Will Smith movie (which was actually very, very good....much better than I thought it would be). Everything just seems so right about this adaption....the Heston version stinks (never understood why it's so popular).

Subject: I Am legend.
This movie (just like the Omega Man) as well as the 2007 movie: I Am Legend movie, are all based on the same book by Richard Matheson.

I liked the ending of this one much better than the one in 'I am Legend'.

Subject: last man on earth
This film has a plot that keeps repeating over and over and has no real meaning.

Subject: I Am Legend
The screenplay for this movie was written by Richard Matheson based on his novel "I Am Legend." While it is a good horror movie for its time, it is worth noting that the producers changed enough material for Matheson to disavow any involvement; his name does not appear in the credits. Watch this and campare it to "The Omega Man," and later still to the Will Smith version, "I Am Legend" and judge for yourself.

Subject: The Original Omega Man!
A great old movie. This is the same basic story as the Omega Man. Worth a viewing.
