Subject: Pretty good for low budget films
Three people suddenly left to themselves in a world ended by a mysterious occurrence. Each of them had a position and a complex relationship. Then, out of the blue, comes chaos. They must try to survive. What would any three od us do in the circumstance?

Subject: WOW! What a cheap movie!!
This was the lousiest excuse to make an extremely low-budget movie. All they had to do was film three people with a home movie camera and pretend the End Of The World came and have two twits go berzerk over a woman. Maybe it's because I'm a female, I don't know if that's a factor, but I found this movie to be very boring. There's no unique or "mind blowing" message from that movie beyond what Hollywood had always been stuffing down people's throats. It's about two guys wanting sex with a woman. Nothing sophisticated about it. Now if you want to see two men chase a woman, watch a movie that is REALLY worth watching which is 'Some Like It Hot' by Wilder.

This is deep and so many subtle messages to it.
The beauty of this film is that they do not complicated the filming and thus loose the ability to express complicated situations.
I really like this.
The tension between the two men is really expressed clearly.
The woman has strong acting as well.

What saved this movie from being unwatchable was Betsy Jones-Moreland's acting, she definitely put more into her character than the other two. Not one of Corman's better works, IMHO.

Subject: Got tired of it.
Good picture quality. Acting OK. Plot OK.
But I just got bored with this film and just stopped watching it.

I am sure many will find it interesting though.

Subject: A Double Martini for the Apocalypse
Armageddon, repressed sexuality and social mores cast aside, this film is a delightful apocalyptic film noir romp with a classic Post Nuclear mis en scene. A contemporary of "The World, the Flesh and the Devil," "Seven Days in May," "On the Beach," "Fail Safe" and Stanley Kubrik's period masterpiece "Dr. Strange Love - or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb." Typical Roger Corman unevenness, production values and no-name cast, but superior to his many monster movies - has more of a "Twilight Zone" or "The Outer Limits" feel.

This was a fascinating movie. It was well-written, with effective, if sometimes obvious, symbolism. The apocalyptic storyline is downplayed: we have only 3 speaking characters, and instead of "Day After Tomorrow"-style effects (which would date), we have merely 3 characters, proving that in any stressful situation, 3 is an awkward number. The character development is surprising and effective, and there are some very disturbing shots.

This is WELL WORTH a viewing.

Subject: Classic Corman
One of the better feature films available at archive.org! Lots of natural lighting with a smooth jazz soundtrack sets a mood much like the very old "creature features" of the late 50's & early 50's. Shot on location in Puerto Rico, set in actual hotels, casinos, underwater (obviously shot through the glass in an aquarium like Marineland), a very groovy millionaire's seaside pad and a historic giant castle like fort. An apocalyptic fatal love triangle story involving the last three people on earth who demonstrate the essential survival skills of getting loaded, fishing, and fighting in the water. The direction is superb with exciting angles and action scenes that squeeze every drop of talent out of the budget cast who portray this trio of upper class sleaze bags. Lots of entertainingly goofy dialogue and situations throughout the story make you begin to wonder... are they even serious about surviving? Not much they do or plan to do makes much sense as well as a few scenes, in particular, a beach scene involving a corpse of a young lady and some very strange lines. I enjoyed every bit of this movie and really dig the seaside millionaire's pad complete with television and hi-fi system built into the wall, a yacht parked outside and a fully stocked bar (they also raided the bar at the Hilton). My only disappointment is the feeble audio with the dialogue annoyingly a bit hard to understand.* The fact the soundtrack music portion sounds much better makes me guess that maybe Corman couldn't afford a quality microphone for this project. Well worth watching at least a few times.
Classic 50's-60's shock content.
