The Fire Dept.The Fire Dept. - L'Oeuf D'Or [leda014] ()

Originally released in 1995 on Billy Childish's Hangman's Daughter label, this is the universally acclaimed debut LP of the legendary (in as much as they didn't actually exist) Hove (ex-Cambridge) group. Some call it garage, some call it punk, some call it garage-punk, and others leave out the hyphen. Who cares?! This is uh da bombe.

Enjoying this one, especially touch. We need more vinyl pops with our downloads

Although I like the groove and sound on the instruments, the vocal is too artificially out front and way too clean to really match the garage of this track. All in all a nifty find, though...

Blazing hot punk with sixties/eighties style.Plain-spoken lyrics & driving bass & drums throw the guitar at you in a very pleasing way.If your into that kind o'thing, this is sure to please you.
