Frederick Samuel Cabot has written to different towns for evergreen to be used to decorate the Christmass tree at the fair. Cabot says: "We mean to make the Christmas tree most magnificent." A man has been engaged to make a copy on canvas of the engraving of "Christus Consolator," which is to be hung in the Melodeon. ("Christus Consolator" was originally painted by Ary Scheffer.)
