Holograph, signed
Joseph Ricketson cannot invite Anne Warren Weston's friend to lecture, since the Lecture Association committee already voted to have only twelve lectures this winter. Joseph Ricketson says: "Many temptations were held forth during the Elections for me to vote, but principle was predominant and I did not." Joseph Ricketson tells about his good winter sport. He complains that he has received no replies to letters sent to Deborah Weston and to Caroline Weston. There was a great celebration of Taylor's election: "Rough and ready was the word and then each sought what to devour---I was not there of course."
Attached to page four of this letter there is a newspaper clipping (information artifact) about the lectures offered by the Lecture Association and the New Bedford Lyceum
Includes an envelope with the delivery address: Anne W. Weston, Weymouth, Mass
