Samuel May, Jr., writes: "Your communication to Mess[rs]. G. & J. was sent to me last evening, and I have showed it to Mr. Garrison. We like it much, and I shall forward it by the mail this P.M.---I am sorry that you did not get, when you wanted it, Mr. Gay's note to me about the circulation of the Standard. I send it now, though too late for your particular purpose, I suppose;--- yet you may be glad to make a note of the particulars. We are to hold a Board meeting on Friday morning next (26th). ..."
Included is an unsigned fragment by Samuel May, Jr., to Miss Weston, thanking her for the opportunity to read Mr. Bishop's letter
