Benjamin C. Bacon writes to Amos A. Phelps about the annual meeting of the "Young Meńs Society" where new officers of the organization were chosen. He also informs Phelps about the New England Anti-Slavery Societýs upcoming meeting in September, and gives a list of speakers for the occasion. He then discusses distribution of the ́Maryland Schemé ([a circular against the claims of the Maryland State Colonization Society]). Finally, he says the executive Committee of the American Anti-Slavery Society acceded to Phelpśs ́plan of cooperatioń with an additional provision proposed, and that the Board of Managers of the New England Society acceded to this provision
