W. S. Nichols writes William Lloyd Garrison expressing his deep regrets to learn of Garrison's ill-health, and prays for his speedy recovery. Nichols states that they will, in light of Garrison's health, be "foregoing aloud" their proposal to welcome Garrison in Bradford with a "large public gathering" hosted by the Temperance Society & Alliance. Nichols informs Garrison that the Alliance will be hosting a breakfast and Congress, to which he invites Garrison
