Payson sends to William Lloyd Garrison the cost of one year's subscription for the Liberator, asserting that she wishes to obtain a subscription so as to circulate the paper amongst her friends. Payson surmises that she will likely perish before it becomes necessary to renew her subscription for a second year. Payson requests that Garrison pass this note personally to Wendell Phillips
