Holograph, signed with initials
Next week, there will be a Whig torchlight procession in Boston and a celebration of the Long Pond water into the city. William Lloyd Garrison tells about his social calls on acquaintances. The weather has changed from sultry warmth to chilly damp, with steady rain. Garrison thinks that George William Benson's family will go to Chelsea; he wants to accommodate them while they get their house ready. Garrison feels uneasy about his unpaid bills. No man or committee is responsible to Garrison in respect to a salary. He is relieved that Wendell Phillips is regaining his health and strength
