William Lloyd Garrison gives details of his schedule that prevent him from visiting Newburyport. Both of Garrison's children have whooping cough. Garrison will go with his family to Providence. Garrison offers the use of his house in Boston. William Bassett's little son died of lung fever. Mrs. Maria W. Chapman is preparing "Right and Wrong in Massachusetts" for publication; it will make a stir. Lewis Tappan has written a very bad letter in reply to the committee's invitation to attend the N.E. Convention. Garrison will write to James G. Birney next week
