Title devised by cataloger
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Beriah Green expresses his approval of Phelpśs course of action in England, and condemns Phelpśs opponents. Green criticizes certain prevalent sentiments in the English society, but says Americans share some of the same flaws. After describing the difficult situation of the Oneida Institute, he comments on Abby and Stephen Foster, saying that he considers them ́the genuine offspring of a proslavery Christianity.́ He would like to hear Phelps speak on the subject of Congregationalism of England
