Holograph, signed
In this letter, Lucia Weston writes that Anne Warren Weston and Dr. Amos Farnsworth came down on the stage from Groton. She tells about the case of a black stowaway who was imprisoned for nonpayment of his passage money. Samuel E. Sewall rescued him. Lucia said: "You will notice the mistake that I have made, but you would not wonder for the disapppointed man is here that is Mr. Bigelow. I suppose Anne told you about it, if she did not, I am bound to secrecy and will tell you when I see you." Lucia mentions a "southern young lady" who may attend her school. This letter is mostly about gossip and domestic details
