Garrison did not see Mrs. Anne Phillips, "as she was being rubbed for her neuralgic pains by a woman possessing a good deal of magnetism." Garrison called on the Burnham sisters. William Lloyd Garrison Jr.'s 39th birthday party is mentioned. Sarah Southwick had a bad fall near the piazza steps at William Lloyd Garrison's house. Dr. George Putnam has been severely afflicted with rheumatism
