She reports on the amount of money she has collected for the American Anti-Slavery Society. Abby K. Foster comments: "Can't we have somebody to bring a force into the field and conquer every thing before us, putting Thompson, of course, here and there at the gates of the citadels of the enemy and he will carry them." The wife of the Rev. Jason Olds of Ohio sent Abby K. Foster $5 for a subscription to the Liberty Bell
