In notes on the inner flap of the envelope, Miss WIgham asks May to remember her to various American friends and to forward a letter to Mrs. Child
Miss Wigham wants to know why Tennessee should be re-admitted to the Union without the emancipation of its slaves. She sends the text of a speech of the Duke of Argyle and refers May to a speech by Earl Russell. Miss Wigham asks for photographs of William Lloyd Garrison
