Letter addressed from Anti-Slavery Office
Johnson writes Garrison informing him that the last issue of the Standard under his editorialship has been prepared for publication, and that it contains the reports from the anniversary meeting, a letter of protest by Samuel May, a letter from Mary Grew, and his own valedictory column, which he states he hopes Garrison will find "judicious and fair", as Johnson states that he felt compelled to present not only his personal arguments, but those of others on their faction of the American Anti-Slavery Society, as well. Johnson remarks that "the course of W.P. is disgraceful to himself", and predicts that it will "recoil upon him ere long"
