Title devised by cataloger
In an unknown hand, there is a notation indicating that the photographs referenced in M'Kim's letter are "of the scarred back of a slave"
James Miller M'Kim informs William Lloyd Garrison that the "pictures of Frank's" are greatly desired in the city, and reports them retailing for 15 cents. M'Kim encloses an address to Garrison, which he requests that Garrison publish in the upcoming Liberator, and forwards the sum of $5 to pay for its inclusion. M'Kim states that he will expect the arrival of Wendell Phillips Garrison and Francis Jackson Garrison on the 16th. M'Kim informs Garrison of his delight at Garrison's "prompt disclaimer of Conway's foolish escape", noting that "[g]enius & judgement dont always go together". M'Kim comments on the "glorious news" arriving from General Meade and the Army of the Potomac
