It is fortunate that Henry Egbert Benson can go to Philadelphia to settle the disagreement with Arnold Buffum. William Lloyd Garrison sends a statement of agreement between Arnold Buffum and himself to be laid before the Arbitration Committee. Garrison gives detailed instructions as to the mode of proceeding in the settlement of accounts. The arbiters named by Arnold Buffum and William L. Garrison are James Mott, Thomas Shipley, and Joseph Cassey
