Holograph, signed
Mary P. Rogers thanks Maria Weston Chapman for her interest in the anti-slavery activities in Concord, where they are planning an anti-slavery fair in which "we are altogether new hands." So far "the differences which have been disturbing the brethren" have never been manifested in the female society. However, "now that our Baptist ministers openly oppose the Herald, doubtless many will be carried away by their influence." She remarks on her husband's situation and his need for sympathy in the cause. [Mary P. Roger's husband is Nathaniel Peabody Rogers.] She also mentions Mary Clark
