Title devised by cataloger
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, John Treadwell Norton says he is enclosing $50 for the West India Mission, for which he always wanted to do something but hasńt been able to. He says that, although he does not agree with the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, he would not do anything to destroy the public confidence in the Board as they do great good. On the postscript note, Norton says he changes his mind about what he said in the letter, having read ́the Quarterly Report.́ He says ́the tone of the paper meets [his] views entirely.́
