Manuscript accompanied by stamped envelope, postmarked from "Dundee JY 26 77", with a "One Penny" postage stamp affixed. Envelope is addressed to "William Loyd Garrison Esq. Care of Mrs. E. P. Nichol Huntley Lodge Edinboro"
Manuscript composed upon stationary bearing the typeset letterhead of "The Cliff, near Dundee". Seal in blue ink is a stylized "P" with "Jehovah Nissi" just above
Manuscript annotated on recto, with "To W. L. G." in black ink along top-left margin of page, and "209" in pencil above Parker's salutation to Garrison
Edward Parker, writing on behalf of his wife, informs William Lloyd Garrison that they are looking forward to his visit with anticipation. Parker states that his wife speaks of Garrison many times per day, and requests that Garrison's son send to them a "programme" of Garrison's planned itinerary during his visit to Great Britain. Parker states their regrets to have been unable to join Garrison at the breakfast banquet in his honor in Newcastle
