William Lloyd Garrison was pleased by John Greenleaf Whittier's "disclaimer as to George Peabody's restrictive and iron-bound erection of his 'Memorial Church.'" Garrison reports the death of James Mott, one of the original signers of the Declaration of Sentiments. Garrison includes the number of surviving signers from each state
This letter is a reply to John Greenleaf Whittier's letter of Jan. 25th, 1868, Call No. Ms.A.1.1 v.7, p.71B
On page four of this manuscript there is a fragment of an unidentified letter, in the hand of another person
