Holograph, signed
William Lloyd Garrison describes his voyage on the steamboat. Garrison believes: "It will unquestionably be the strongest array of intellectual vigor and moral strength ever brought together in this country." He is pleased with James G. Birney. There is no sign of opposition: "The newspapers are dumb---and when 'no voice or hideous hum' comes forth from these oracles, it is difficult to get up an excitement." George Thompson and Beriah Green preached to congregations of colored people. Henry E. Benson is pleased with Albany. Colonizationists are to have a public meeting
