Holograph, signed
William Lloyd Garrison thinks it best if the convention of delegates from the New England societies was delayed until summer. The meeting of the New England Anti-Slavery Society at the Temple was the grandest ever held in Boston. The speakers were: William Lloyd Garrison, Professor Charles T. C. Follen, Rev. Cyrus Pitt Grosvenor, and Rev. Henry Grew. Boston was saved from the "colonization corruption." Vermont has new anti-slavery societies. Sickness prevented Dr. Channing from attending the meeting; he favors the immediate emancipation of slaves
