Holograph, signed
William Lloyd Garrison has returned to London. Garrison reports: "Fanny and her husband are at Munich, and will not be able to return with us. Mr. Villard's father died at M. on the 3d of September. He was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Bavaria." Garrison was very much impressed by Switzerland and the Alps. He gives his itinerary after he leaves Lucerne. He comments again on the American appearance of Frankfurt and disapproves of the gambling in Hamburg. Garrison regrets that he cannot visit Elizabeth Pease Nichol before he leaves England, but he hopes that she may be able to come to the United States
