Contains two letters: one from N. E. Johnson and the other from (Miss) F. Robinson
In her letter written on June 15 in East Boston, Miss F. Robinson says Phelpśs mother wants her to write again. She expresses her delight receiving good news from Phelps in London, and then talks about various matters around his home in East Boston, including Lucýs illness, Phelpśs motheŕs health, the upcoming celebration of the completion of the Bunker Hill monument on June 17th, and a tea party held by the ladies of Phelpśs church, as well as news about various other people. In his letter written in Boston on the same day, N. E. Johnson says that he is busy with his studies and his work for the Evangelist, and that he is disappointed at the recent action of ́the Assemblý respecting slavery
