In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Thomas Laurie writes about Mr. Rude by copying Rudés own answers to Phelpśs questions, which Laurie had directed to Rude. Laurie requests Phelps help Rude. In a postscript, he also asks whether Phelps knows of any temporary job opportunities for him (Laurie)
