In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Edward Kendall Jr. discusses whether or not his society should hold an additional meetings other than the annual meetings. He cites articles in the societýs constitution and asks for Phelpśs opinion. In a segment added later, Kendall talks about a woman who passed through his area some weeks ago with a young child to escape slavery, and gives her brief history
