I don't think I'm the only person who is aware of a much better and more complete version of this much booted KSAN broadcast circulating on a (commercial) website, albeit in MP3 compression. Is there not a single kind soul who is willing to share the (non vinyl) Winterland 76 source with us, preferably in lossless format ? an upgrade to the current version on the archive would make all featheads extremely happy. And it would give the perfomance finally the rating it deserves; five and a half stars !

I finally have the full, pristine 2/14/76 show. A friend and I have been swapping versions of this show since it's "Rampant Sympatico" and "St. Valentine en Gumbo" days. Each swap improved quality a bit, but there was always the missin apolitical blues and the signal problems during the medley. Well, wolfgangs vault is selling it and it sounds good.

This contains the best Lowell slide playing I've ever heard. The slide solo out of Cold Cold Cold is for the ages. Lowell, we miss you terribly.

This is a really nice set. And I mean diehard LF freak in the kindest way since I am one. Yes, listening to it brought back many smiles as well as memories of pops and noise etc coming off the bloody black vinyl disk spinning on that turntable.

This one is a keeper. It's quality is great, performance is fine, and is very clear. The only thing that is keeping me from giving five stars that the is a light hissing sound in the middle of the show, but its only for a few minutes. Definitly worth the time.
