I was invited to a private performance of LIGHTDANCER an interactive dancefloor performance instrument. Also on the bill was HYRDA, an interactive laser light and sound performance instrument that was totally amazing. I was in the perfect spot to grab this video with my Canon ZR70. You should see the DV quality! No, correct that, you should see the instrument played in person. The subsonics coming out of the woofer and immersive laser show with beams bouncing off mirrors everywhere as graphics, sound and lasers were controlled by waving one's arms over infra red light sensors was awesome! I played it and rocked out! You will be able to try it at a Creativity Cafe near you in a few years!
PS: You should also know that the computer graphics display is also controlled live by the performer. The graphics were specially designed to in a 3D graphics program called Zuma that enabled you to make models that are MIDI controllable:
