The world we live in is mind-numbingly symmetrical. Like the guy on TV trying to sell you cornflakes with an artificially symmetrical smile beaming out of an artificially symmetrical face. Like the standardized underpriced furniture from Sweden people buy for their symmetrical little homes. It seems like we have all grown so used to it that we have become unable to deal with anything unsymmetrical, with anything real. Either our brains run such impressions through filters until they look like what we expected to find, or the whole system just shuts down alltogether. This album dares you to try anyway. Asymmetricality is a collection of tracks ranging from midtempo breakbeats to old-school jungle breaks, blended with classic jazz influences and obscure anime quotes. Just like that special something that sets breakbeats apart from regular electronic drums, your encounter with this album might not be as soothing and convenient as what you are used to hear in your local clubs, but it will sure become a rewarding experience as soon as you look beyond the surface. Plus it kicks ass. 'Nuff said.
