The Mary Harshaw Award is an annual award given out to an outstanding adult learner studying at one of the member organizations of DC LEARNs, the coalition of literacy organizations in the Washington DC-area. This video, from one of the annual DC LEARNs meetings, explains about the award and the first recipient, Tommy Barnes, from Academy of Hope. DC LEARNs board member Camille Cormier was the organizer of this annual event. She appears as the first person in this video. http://www.dclearns.org
