Subject: Good Show
Thanks for catching the stream of this and putting it up here! I was at this show and was duly amazed, but I figured since I missed the airdate and stream the first time around, it'd be a while before I could hear it again. Thanks again!
The Internet stream doesn't affect the quality much at all, I agree. I'm just glad to have a copy of this, anyway!
This is the Mountain Stage broadcast which originally aired October 1st, 2004. A few of the radio stations also streamed the audio through the internet, and that's where this came from. WDCB 90.9 FM hosted a stereo 48 kbps feed (Windows Media Audio 9, single-pass), which Chris captured using Streambox VCR. He sent the file (*.asf format) to me, and I used Adobe Audition to master it, then CD Wave to split up the tracks. Despite 48 kbps compression, the sound quality is really quite amazing. I highly recommend this show to any MAS fan.
