Subject: magical
Wow, I wish I were there. This is what a group of people having a good-ole time sounds like. The interaction between the small crowd and the performers is great, as is the crystal clear recording, and the music. This one always brings a smile to my face. Nice job by all, a big five stars. As usual thanks archive.
(just had to note that after posting my review, I read the others, and had to revise and add this. Two reviews in a row use the word magical), enough said!

Subject: What a Perfect Recording of a Perfect Show!!!!!!!
This was just a magical night all around and the parking lot jam was the icing on the cake!
I cannot listen to this without being spiritually transported back to the lot. The sound is so true you can even hear the crickets. This was the best night of music ever...it truly felt magic!
And this recording will forever be my favorite. Thank you for capturing it so perfectly. If you couldn't be there, this is the next best thing.

Subject: A must have
With all the reviews of the main show from August 17th, I'm surprised there are so few reviews of the aftershow in the parking lot. This is just an amazing set. All acoustic, completely spontaneous set list, lots of audience interaction, and even one song with Sara yodeling! Absolutely a must have!

I have been waiting to hear this live sincxe i saw the aol broadband video of nickel creek doing this. The vocals arent as strong as id hoped for but overall this is great. The whole show, as a matter of fact, is great. Ive heard a couple of glen and nickel creek parking lot shows before but this one trumps them all. It was great to hear MAS between the bars again and i was hoping for walk on the ocean but really in the long run didnt mind it wasnt there. the song selection was so differnt from what ive seen from this tour that this is so incredibly refreshing. this is so worth the download! thanks to the tapers and the people who worked on the obviously labor intensive production of this recording!

Notes

Mutual Admiration Society are:
Glen Phillips
Nickel Creek
John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin)
and
Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello and the Attractions)

Notes: Amazing all acoustic aftershow gathering in the parking lot. This was a collabrative effort between myself and John Kelly and both sources were used in the creating of the final master recording. This allowed for the best possible source devoid of any effects from microphones being bumped and shifted around. Both sources were EQ'ed to sound alike so that the splits are seemless. Enjoy!!
peace, chris
