Subject: Help please!! (BUT great book)
I was at my grandparents house this week and came upon a hand written letter supposedly by George Washington. I came online to look for any matches handwriting-wise because I frankly did not belive that it was the actual document. The handwriting matches exactly. If this is a copy it is a very good one. I wanted to see if there was any information about Washington on this day (August 10, 1782) so I began to research. I came up with this site and this book and was amazed to discover that the letter was in here beginning on page 19 and continuing on. I was wondering if anyone who is reading this knows if the origanal final copy of this letter is missing from somewhere and if this could indeed be a real George Washington artifact because if it is I would like to take the necessary steps in protecting it. Any information would be much appriciated and welcome. The book was fantastic and I loved looking through its pages!
