Best sound out of all shows in archive for Matisyahu. The person who recorded this did a great job. This show is worth downloading. Keep up the goottimes.

Nice audio quality, like you are at the show, and a smokin' set. Thanks.

... Matisyahu live recording out there. Perfect crowd volume, clear sound, it's like you're really there. Bloody fantastic really. I can't find enough good things to say about it.

Subject: Good Show

I got to see Matisyahu at Bonnaroo this past year. Very electric, energy-full show. The crowd was completely into it. His band is extremely tight and can jam with the best of 'em. However, I have his most recent album and I'm not too impressed. I feel he went a little to mainstream and kind of turned me off. Live at Stubb's got me into him, and is a perfect replication of his live performances. If you get the chance, see this guy, you won't be let down.

Subject: Great stuff

this was the first Matisyahu show on archive.org and I remember when he first hit, his name was blowing up and he was a hot buzz artist. now he's not in the papers as much, but probably still doing great music. This recording has a great soundboard sound and the performance is great. check it out!

This guy rocks. Im a Jew whom loves reggae and this cat has some talent.

Very spiritual, great parts reggae, great rapping
and beat boxing.

Subject: Spiritual

dragonsoftime: a lot of raggae is actually very spiritual. You need to listen to more than bob marley and peter tosh though. This show is good though

This song is a reggae/spiritual which makes a strange, but unique combination. I like it :).

this is ok, but strange reggae music. Nice spiritual vibe by the hasidic jew jam head.

Subject: Alright

He's ok. Listening to some of this stuff. It's pretty decent, but if you're looking for reggae, dub is a weapon rips it apart.

Reviewer: little brother - 3 out of 5 stars - March 16, 2005
Subject: where's the talent?

I'm sorry, I left the show early. Two stars, one for effort and one for the fact that it was the least expensive show I have made yet at 5 bucks!
sorry I never claimed to be a good speller or typest for that matter and while I'm back at it I'll even throw in another star for great sound quality. Everyone should give this a listen for themselves, and I'll work on the spelling for you chech!

as for reggae goes, this guy is very talented and this show is a soundboard so you know its good quality. Grab this one and chech out the Hasidic Reggae Superstar.

Reviewer: abie - 5 out of 5 stars - March 7, 2005
Subject: One of a Kind Performer

Matisyahu is a one-of-a-kind performer, as real about reggae as he is about his religious beliefs. His shows are consistently energetic and inspiring, but this particular show will certainly be remembered as a seminal moment in his early career - the eve of his national tour, a sold-out show in a major venue, and unstoppable energy, start to finish.

Subject: Matisya-Who?

Well you've heard the hype. At least I did. Now hear the music. He's much more reggae than I ever imagined but his beats are great. He can rhyme and MC like a madman! This one is definitely worth a listen. The sound quality is good, but not great. The Soundboard mix isn't the greatest and you can hear some fuzz/small pops in a few spots throughout. Nothing major though. All very slight and nothing that takes away from the music which is what counts :)
