Reviewer:outersphongolia - - October 14, 2009 Subject: Roth Pre Party IMO the rothbury pre-party set in GR was far better. yes it was longer but maybe it was the huge ball of energy that was about to explode on rothbury which made it better. and the convoy up when we got word they were letting people in was insane.
Reviewer:funky acid grooves - - July 15, 2009 Subject: yeeeeaaahh the Beat Box track was off the wall, Lynx is crazy-awesome. Cheese aside, EOTO was probably the best set that weekend, IMO. Lynx brought their set to the HNL.. hole 'notha level! anyway...
groovinkdubfan: if you succeed in finding a recording of EOTO's set PLEASE contact me! i'll send you a link to both Umph shows from that weekend. i have no idea how to send a private message on here but you can contact me at listen2ween@hotmail.com
back to the point, definitely check out every set you can find from Roth and try to make it out there next year; no other festie compares to this one! i've heard they're taking 2010 headliner requests on the site so let's see if we can get Phish next year ;) peace
Reviewer:groovinkdubfan - - July 12, 2009 Subject: Rothbury Rules hung out for most of this set in the forest where all could be heard but not much could be seen. it was shady and very pleasant however many people had the same idea. the one song that stood out to me in this set is the one with Lynx, she was sick. if anyone has the EOTO set from Tripolee where she jumps up as well, that would be greatly appreciated, as that set was pretty fire. Im also looking for the Umphreys sunday closing set, Matisyahu jumped up with them for Jimmy Stewart I believe and it was unbelievable. anyone who hasnt been to Rothbury in it's first two years, this is one you definitely want to hit up, it is an amazing festival. they even had a headliner request text line for next year, so my only guess is Phish at Rothbury 2010!
