Subject: Another great Max Creek NYE.
Subject: Another great Max Creek NYE.
This was only my 2nd NYE show with Creek, and even though it was 7 years ago I can still remember some of it really well. The thing that always stuck out to me was the Gimme Shelter to open the 2nd set. I remember thinking to myself when the jam out of it went really quiet, “wow this is weird for a gimme shelter jam, but I bet they’ll jam back into it, it can't be done yet.” I can remember thinking that and standing in the front row in between mark and scott…the quiet part of the jam wasn’t long, only about a minute or so, but when they got back into it they took us away somewhere. It was amazing, I’ll never forget it, and listening to it even today still gives me chills. And then X at the end of the song, “Welcome to 2003!!!”
Overall the rest of the show was amazing, opened with St. Stephen. Other high lights for me were the tore up and the mystery train. Kudos to Kbooth, for a Webster show, this is amazing quality. I highly recommend it.
