Subject: Praise and clarification
New Mermen posts are as rare as hen's teeth these days, making this one, in a room they clearly enjoy, even more exciting. The recording is very good. The band sounds loose and as powerful as ever. The crowd is involved and appreciative. Love the banter..."thank you for that smattering of applause".
Clarification:
around 7 in on Blue Xoam Jim references Jimi's Third Stone From the Sun, as he has been known to do.
Bottom line:
This is so much more than a "surf" band. If you enjoy instrumental guitar oriented music, you should know these guys.
ps
a new mermen and acid mothers temple in the same week?................priceless
Subject: WOT U MEAN?
Regarding the music - great considdering only 3 members in the group, and very good sound also. Well worth a listen if you are keen on surf music.
