Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Harris Salat (pictured above), Executive Producer for Visual Thesaurus (which has a half a million users, including the American School for the Deaf, Irving ISD in Texas). What I like is that it was honest and up front...and I don't get to ask a professional journalist (you know what I mean, so don't get offended fellow citizen journalists!) questions every day. Harris' describes himself as being in "perpetual beta, learning and learning." And the "learning doesn't have to be from the mountain-top." This is so true. With published articles and books, we see a finished product. With blogs, you see learning and thinking as it happens. As I listened to this conversation (post-editing), I wondered if I missed my calling as a professional writer! "In my own quiet way," Harris shared, " I write stories." What a great point. Isn't this what we're all about? Read more at http://www.mguhlin.net/blog
