Here is another installment of transfers from Harrisons master (1st Gen) recordings.
Liberating a completely uncirculated Minutemen show is truly an honor. After 22+ years, this one is seeing a digital transfer fer the first time! Im completely blown away. Pretty sure yer gonna be too.
The band sounds great. Watt and George break into a Love Dance while D. deals with some guitar issues. Watt pulls some nice vamps out during that. He also breaks into a brief Like a Virgin during the intro to Mr. Robots Holy Orders. A nice inclusion of Cohesion, a great No One, Theatre is the Life of You, as well as a pretty chatty Watt all make this one amazingand ya cant beat their Green Rivereven better than the original!...
I have been addicted to this show fer the last couple of days. After pulling the transfer I thought it was a short setthe time just flew byturns out its 82 minutes and 40 songs!...something I began to realize halfway through tracking it ;))
Please note. Most of the master cassettes were lost, given away or taped over in lieu of 1st gen copies which cut out the gaps and made each more listener friendly. These are the lowest known gens still in existence!
Enjoy, but PLEASE:
Do Not Sell!!
Do Not Disseminate in MP3 Format!!

Subject: There were two shows that night

I was 17 and at the all-ages show at 6PM. I'm positive that they did an encore of "Substitute". So I this is surely the other show. Brother A-West was a hilarious pseudo-Evangalist who provoked all the punks. U-Men were the first Seattle sound band I'd ever heard, but they didn't do much for me on that night. Expando Brain did a great one-chord solo for their climax. And the Minutemen were incomparable- the best show I'd ever seen up to that point, and with d. boon gone just a few months later, it quickly became a precious memory. This recording certainly add to that, even if it's a few hours later.
