Aidan BakerAidan Baker - Within the Final Circle [mir012] (February 20, 2005)

Aidan Baker shouldn't be an unfamiliar name to most of you by now. The Canadian has released numerous cds, cdrs and mp3s on labels from all around the world as a solo artist, in a band or collaborating with other artists.

On this album Aidan uses (as usual) his guitar but also other instruments and tools like tapeloops and sampled dialogue. The result is the three long and beautiful tracks that constructs this album. 44 minutes of soft, ambient textures and deep drones.

Subject: Good release
It's another good release by Aidan Baker. Great use of ambience in this one. The first two tracks are quite light in overall atmosphere, but the last one is a lot darker. Good progression in these tracks make this a well deserved listen.
