Subject: Chris Wall - Songwriting Master and Great Performer
As a big fan of Chris Wall - I downloaded this show. I searched the web for info on Chris Wall have recently started to listen to his studio albums and was suprised to find this recording.
The quality of the recording is excellent, I find it difficult to fault at all, to the point where I have been listening to the show on repeat everyday on the way to work, recently.
The between song banter is very entertaining and does give a lot of info about Chris I hadn't known before. Of the songs, 2 of them havent appeared on albums to date and both are excellent "In this together" and "Sad Old Cowboy" and I hope will appear on a new Chris album soon.
Chris Wall has released 6 albums to date, all to critical acclaim - although the highlight of his career to most people is he penned "Trashy Women" for Confederate Railroad. But if you listen to this recording I think you will agree the true highlight is his songwriting and his dogged determination to do things on his own terms.
I would have loved to have been there, but a continent and a major ocean prevented that, but this is the nearest you can get, and I appreciate the tapers generosity in sharing it.
Rated as 5 by a very happy and biased Chris Wall fan!
